Our
History
In 1961, Felix
Huard founded the company. After operating, for ten years, out
of St-Emile of Auclair, Temiscouata Region, Felix Huard bought
a sawmill in Luceville in the Mitis Region. (located nearby Rimouski,
Quebec, Canada). Felix Huard Inc., Luceville Mill, in existance
since 1971, has been certified ISO 9001 - 2000 since April 2000,
it produces 55 millions B.F. of hard wood and eighty persons are
employed annually. In 1989, Produits forestiers Basques, a hardwood
charcoal plant located in St-Mathieu in the Basques Region, was
purchased, it operates under the name of Basques Hardwood Charcoal
which produces annually 5,000 M.T of charcoal and employs some
twenty persons.
The President and CEO is Michel Huard.
