Our hardwood floors are free from manufacturing defects such as improper milling, grading or coating. Our hardwood strips and planks are identical in width, molded and shaped for proper assembling thus insuring stability of your wood floor.

The use of putties during the preparation of hardwood flooring is considered normal and is not cause for a claim against the warranty.

Our classification warranty allows for each strip of your floor to meet the color, grade and species quality standards of felix huard Inc.Wood being a natural material it will react to humidity and temperature variations in your home, therefore at some periods of the year splits may temporarily appear between the strips.

This phenomenon being normal, it is not covered by the warranty. Natural wood characteristics such as mineral streaks, small knots, grain variations, etc. are normal characteristics and are not construed as defects. No two pieces of wood are the same therefore color or other variations can occur.

We cannot warrant against natural variations, nor the normal minor differences between color samples and the color of installed floors. Felix Huard Inc. cannot warrant a color match of our product to other wood product, such as stairs, stair railings, cabinets, trim, molding, etc. Nature Zone floors should be installed in environments of 35% to 55% relative humidity to prevent possible damage not covered by the warranty. Installation of a humidifier or dehumidifier may be necessary. The floor is designed to perform in an environmentally controlled structure.

The product will remain free from milling and grading defects for a lifetime, that is for as long as the original purchaser owns and lives in the premises where Nature Zone hardwood floor and product were installed.

This warranty does not cover our ''rustic'' and ''character'' grades pre-finished floors nor the ones from our inventory marked ''as is'', ''imperfect'' or ''not standard''.

Also, felix Huard Inc. Is not responsible for any damage due to improper transportation, storage or handling of your floor, to the non-respect of the prescribed installation procedures, to the tools used to fix the floor, to all installation defects done by yourself or by a professional, to the lack of heat in a room or to the fact that the residence where the floor is installed is unoccupied.

Flooring should be inspected before installation. Felix Huard Inc. considers that the installation of any hardwood strip on plank means its acceptance.

We will not accept any claim for reason of fabrication defects or of misclassification on any installed strip. Should any defects be discovered only during installation do not continue and notify the dealer immediately upon discovery.

Please note that a variation, a margin of error or a defect due to width, molding and shaping as well as grade, essence or color of the floor not exceeding 5% of the total purchased quantity is considered acceptable by the industry. The above mentioned will not be considered as a production defect nor a misclassification and therefore is not covered by our warranty.

This warranty applies only if the sub-floor is tested and the flooring is installed in accordance with all installation instructions.

It is one of the longest finish warranty available on pre-finished solid hardwood flooring. One of our varnish application procedure prevents flaking and peeling from the wood surface and offers a superior resistance to marks.

However the following damages, which can happen to the varnish and cause worn, are specifically excluded in this waranty : scratches, dents, notches, and any damages to the varnish caused by lack of maintenance or negligent or inappropriate use of the floor, as well as fire, burns, excessive heat, cold, water (leaky faucet, broken pipe, etc), indelible liquids, erosion, external environmental conditions, accident, natural disaster, stones, sand, abrasives and corrosives material, insect infestation, animals and domestic pets, vandalism, sharp or blunt edges objects, excessive impacts, spike heels, furniture legs, crib and rocking chair, casters, use of non-approved cleaners and maintenance product or any oil soap or ammonia-based cleaners or wet mopping and inappropriate modification to the floor as originally manufactured.

Gloss reduction is not covered under the finish warranty since it is not considered wear through. However, in the event that it is easily observable that more than 10% of the total floor surface would show superficial wear of the varnish, a claim under this warranty could be lodge.

It is important to note that a floor exposed to sunrays (ultraviolet light) or to an intensive lightening will have for effect to alter in a subtle way the color of the floor.

This is a natural reaction for wood floors which cannot be recognized as a varnishing default. Our warranty does not cover such fading of your floor. We also suggest that you periodically moved area rugs in order to minimize the effects of ultraviolet light on your hardwood floors.

Felix Huard Inc. declines all responsibility as far as floor installed in a basement, directly on a concrete, on an OSB (pressed wood) floor and in a room equipped with an in-floor radiant heating system are concerned.

Refinishing warranty : when performed correctly by a professional floor refinisher.

It is critical that all installations are done in compliance with the procedures outlined in the Felix Huard Inc. installation and maintenance instructions. Failure to install in accordance with the instructions and to properly maintain will void all warranties.

The sole obligation and liability of Felix Huard Inc., under our stated warranties, is to repair, replace or refinish the floor, in part or in whole, at no cost to the original purchaser or to issue a refund of the purchase price, at the discretion of Felix Huard Inc.

Only Felix Huard Inc. Nature Zone floors that were professionally installed will be eligible for labor cost reimbursement. If you installed the floor yourself we will cover the cost of replacement materials only. No warranty coverage is provided for flooring that contains obvious defects of any kind that were installed nonetheless. If before installation you discover any flooring that has obvious defects please contact your authorized Nature Zone retailer immediately and replacement flooring will be provided at no cost.

Should you prefer the glue down application to the traditional nailing down method, Felix Huard Inc. 25-Year warranty will apply to the finish only. The glue down installation is covered by the glue manufacturer warranty and will apply only if glue manufacturer offers a warranty.

No warranty coverage is provided for flooring that contains obvious defects of any kind thaht were installed nonetheless.

Felix Huard Inc. warranty excludes and will not pay consequential or incidental damages associated with any warranty claim. Repair, refinish or replacement (or a refund of your purchase price) of flooring material are the sole remedies.

There are no waranties which estend beyond the description on the face hereof. No other warranties express, implied, by operation of law or otherwise are made, including but not limited to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall felix huard Inc. Be liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase, use or inability to use this product, or for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.Some states do not allow limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

No installer, retailer, distributor, agent or employee of Felix Huard Inc. has the authority to increase or alter the obligations or limitations of this warranty.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Your rights and the limitations described above vary from state to state. Thus, it is important to retain this warranty information.

If you need to file a claim under this Residential Warranty, you must first contact, within a few days, your Felix Huard Inc. authorized retailer where the original purchase was made. Make sure you have in hand your proof of purchase that we suggest you keep in a safe place with a copy of your warranty registration and your installation and maintenance instructions. If the authorized retailer is unable so satisfy your claim, then contact by letter Felix Huard Inc. office at the following address :

A written notice of claim giving the description and nature of the problem and if possible a picture of the altered surface must be filed within the warranty coverage period, and no later than six (6) months after the occurrence of the problem giving rise to your claim. Information verifying date of purchase and identity of the original purchase and/or invoices as proof of purchase will be required. Depending of the nature of the blemish, we reserve the right, to our entire discretion, to repair, refinish or replace the part of the altered floor and this without any charge. Any alteration, repair or change done by anyone else than felix Huard Inc. will automatically void the present warranty.

Felix Huard Inc. reserves the right to have a designated representative inspect the floor and remove samples for technical analyses. The representative will then report the findings within a reasonable amount of time.

This warranty gives you specific rights and you can also have other legal ones, who can vary from one State to another. When applicable, that warranty is expressly given and accepted for and on behalf of any other one, express or implicit including but without limitation, any warranty of quality trade or of compatibility for any particular use. In no case Felix Huard Inc. will be responsible for any indirect or accessory damage.
